I hate to act like the Grammar Police when I am reading individual posts on threads such as I've been reading regarding the Anthony trial but once I see a blatant error it is difficult to continue reading without focusing on that error. I am not talking about using "to" instead of "too" or something that easy to miss in a spell-check. For example, I was reading a post today and the writer wrote the following:
" RML, your automatically aloud to have an appeal in federal court."
Okay, the first error is the "your". People confuse "you're" for "your" all the time and it is a lesson we should ALL have learned in when we were beginning to read! The second error, "aloud", is a result of someone that is not well educated or is totally clueless or is very careless when they are writing. In any of those three circumstances it is distracting to the reader. I know I've made many mistakes in my writing both in my job and in my posting online but I do try to be aware of the words I am using and when in doubt I look them up in the dictionary so that I do not look like a total idiot. Even then though, I have made mistakes. Everyone does but re-read that sentence above and you see that the meaning of the sentence changes because of the errors. In those cases it is even more important to be sure that the thought you are trying to express it interpreted correctly.
In closing, all I am trying to say is that we should all be more careful before we hit 'enter'.

Is it Fate? Is it God's Plan? What About Caylee?
While watching A&E's The Glades, I heard the following: "I've learned to never put a question mark where God has put a period." It was said in response to an accidental auto accident death but it really got me thinking about questioning "God's plan".
I am sure that the God I believe in would not consider it in His plan to have that beautiful little Caylee Marie Anthony rotting in wooded lot in Florida! I am sure that the God I believe in would not consider it in His plan to have Casey acting like a callous, free-spirit while her daughter was rotting in that wooded lot so close to the house she called home. I am sure that the God I believe in would not consider it in His plan to have Casey throw her entire family under the bus just to keep herself from going to prison. And, if it was in His plan for her to go to Heaven at such an early age by drowning in her grandparents' pool, I am sure it was not in His plan to have her tossed out like a bag of garbage!
Maybe we'll get some answers to what really happened as this trial winds down next week. Maybe...

Casey Anthony Trial
If they expect to be done by the July 4th weekend, they might want to get these witnesses on and off instead of wasting another full day of testimony! These jurors are sequestered. They are stuck there without their families, without the Internet, without their friends. I am sure they are hoping that they will be done soon. Unfortunately, I don't think deliberations will be done in good faith if they are rushing to get out of there JUST to be done to enjoy the holiday weekend. I think it might be better to keep the trial going till after the holiday weekend and THEN start deliberations. But, the more I think about it, maybe there would be one of more jurors that would push for going over all the evidence before *rushing* to make a decision.

Casey Anthony Trial
I am interested in the opinions of my fellow humans on this Casey Anthony trial.
My first topic is Jose Baez. I read the following today regarding Mr. Baez:
As I've read, Casey was referred to Jose Baez by her fellow inmates. I would think if they were INMATES, he wasn't a very good lawyer! (Okay, I probably should NOT have started my first Blog entry with a joke but it was irresistible.) I agree with others on the Backseat Lawyer blog that Casey's relationship with Mr. Baez appears questionable. She struts around and acts like she's courting him rather than him being her attorney. They seem to be enjoying the company of each other more than the situation warrants.

My first topic is Jose Baez. I read the following today regarding Mr. Baez:
It has taken a while for Baez to establish himself as a defense lawyer. Despite graduating from law school in 1997, the Navy veteran was denied admission to the Florida bar for eight years until 2005.
An order by the Supreme Court of Florida states that he was denied admission because of his failure to pay child support to his ex-wife and secure life and health insurance for his teenage daughter. It states that he had previously declared bankruptcy, written bad checks and defaulted on student loans, the court said.
The Florida Supreme Court said his financial mishaps coupled with failure to pay child support "show a lack of respect for the rights of others and a total lack of respect for the legal system, which is absolutely inconsistent with the character and fitness qualities required of those seeking to be afforded the highest position of trust and confidence recognized by our system of law."
Baez declined several requests by ABC News to comment on this story.
