Since I am not allowed to tell the world just yet, I decided to announce my daughter's pregnancy here...Kristen is pregnant with baby #3! Andrew and Alex will have a new sibling in late September! As she is only 6 weeks 4 days pregnant, she wants to wait till the second trimester to announce it to friends and extended family ~ just in case. She has already had issues so it is probably wise. Her doctor wanted to have an ultrasound right away & hCG levels drawn due to her previous medical history (miscarriage before Alex was conceived & endometriosis). During the ultrasound (at 4 weeks 4 days) a subchorionic hematoma was discovered so another ultrasound was performed one week later ~ no change in size of the hematoma but the yolk sac was now visible. Today's ultrasound showed the baby and the heart rate was measured at 122 beats per minute. Her hCG levels have been right on the money, she has had no bleeding and we are hopeful that things will be fine. We are also thinking pink after two boys! Dressing a little girl would be fun after two rough and tumbling boys!
There is a long way to go in this pregnancy. I hate wishing for summer to be ending when spring has yet to begin, but I am anxious to meet my new grandchild!
